The First Family Reunion

74 years ago, Florence (Vate) had an idea and shared it with her father, brothers and sisters. They were discussing how they could bring all of the family together for a happy occasion (of course a big dinner).

Together they planned an event that has evolved into a memorable legacy for the past and present. Our reunion started as an idea and came into realization at the home of David (Dee) and Rosa in August 1949 where Reverend Austin Harrison was living. Each member of the family had taken a part in making this a success.

About The Author

“Hello all! I am Cameryn Norris, granddaughter of Benjamin & Dahlia Williams and descendant of Willie & Mittie Harrison. I needed to create a temporary website for my digital marketing course and decided to take the opportunity to test a family reunion website! My goal was to have guidance for first-time guests, information, and photographs all organized in one place for easy access. I hope you enjoy!”
